Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” – Joshua 3:5
Consecration comes before manifestation. Or, to put it another way, before we can see God working among us, we have to see God working in us.
The Bridging Generations project must be understood as a call to discipleship. Every single person who is a part of Bridges needs to embrace the challenge to make reaching children and families for Christ a priority both now, and in the years to come.
As the Bible makes clear, not everyone has the same resources (Luke 21:1-4). Not everyone has the same abilities (Romans 12:6). Not everyone has the same opportunities (Matthew 25:14-20). But everyone can follow the same Christ,. Everyone can experience the same redemption. And, everyone can embrace the same worship of sacrificial generosity.
Bridging Generations: Now is the time challenges each and every one of us to glorify God and to demonstrate the value we place on the mission of the church. In this, we become a part of our church’s impact on children today and for generations to come.
